Holland America Line announces the opening of its reservations call center in Rotterdam at the company's new office located in the Kop van Zuid section of Rotterdam on Wilhelmina Pier.  The office which opened in February of this year is situated only 100 meters from the site of Holland America Line's original office on Wilhelmina Pier in what is now Hotel New York and is focused on increasing the company's share of the growing Dutch cruise market.

"Opening the reservations call center marks a solid step forward in our goal to provide excellent service to Dutch travel sellers and cruisers," commented Manuel van Engelen, Director of Sales in the Netherlands.  "Holland America Line is a very visible cruise brand that understands and caters to Dutch citizens due to our long and storied history and strong ties in the Netherlands.  We are excited to be building on that solid foundation by partnering directly with travel partners."

The reservations call center will primarily focus on servicing travel agents throughout the Netherlands. The reservations staff will provide service in both Dutch and English and have extensive training on the Holland America Line products.

The Holland America Line Reservations Call Center hours are Monday till Friday from 9.00 till 17.00 local time.

Travel agents will have an exclusive access phone line that will be communicated directly to them through the Holland America sales team in Holland.

Online Booking
Coming soon, travel professionals also will have the capability of making cruise bookings online through the company's POLAR Online reservations system, the cruise industry's most advanced online booking tool.  The booking engine provides travel professionals with direct access to Holland America Line's reservations system.

Training on the POLAR system will be offered to travel agents throughout the Netherlands by the Holland America Line Sales Team.

The POLAR Online tool can create a new booking in seven easy steps taking as little as two minutes.  Featuring more than 40 innovative functions, the online booking tool can locate CruiseTours, search sailings by price, access informative online help, provide convenient tools to up-sell clients, clone bookings and manage transfers. The system will also enable a travel agent to automatically charge final payments to a client's credit card and identify all required immigration information.

Group sellers will value a feature that allows them to book into their groups with POLAR Online access group promo codes, locate stateroom category fares within the group and more.
