Paul Gauguin Cruises Announces Two Senior Management Appointments

Paul Gauguin Cruises (PGC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Diane Moore, long time cruise veteran and currently Executive Vice President, to the position of President, Paul Gauguin Cruises, effective April 1, 2011 with overall responsibility for sales, marketing, guest services and all areas of the North American organization. Additionally, the company is delighted to announce the appointment of Sandy Stevens as Vice President of Sales responsible for the company’s global sales organization. Most recently Stevens held the position of Vice President of Sales for Windstar Cruises and has worked for many well known names in the industry including Holland America, Crystal, Renaissance and Celebrity cruise lines.

“I am delighted to announce the appointment of these two high performing professionals,” said Richard Bailey, Chairman and CEO, Pacific Beachcomber S.C. “With their first-hand knowledge of the industry and extensive experience, I am confident they will add significant value to our continued growth and expansion in the North American market.”

Paul Gauguin Cruises was created in August 2009 when Pacific Beachcomber took over the m/s Paul Gauguin. In order to ensure a smooth and rapid transition under new management and to establish its credentials within the industry, Pacific Beachcomber and Paul Gauguin Cruises enlisted David Morris International (DMI) to create a worldwide internal and external sales organization and to secure key relationships with national accounts and travel partners. In addition, DMI advised on strategic marketing and consumer advertising, as well as the repositioning of the Paul Gauguin image.

Now that Paul Gauguin Cruises has built its own organization and established itself in the industry, DMI shall evolve from sales management into business development and strategic marketing initiatives, in addition to continued involvement with selected accounts.

“I would like to thank David Morris and Marilyn Conroy and the entire team at David Morris International for the integral role they played in the successful launch of Paul Gauguin Cruises in North America,” said Diane Moore, Executive Vice President. “As a result, we are now in a position to bring our sales organization in-house and look forward to working with DMI in a strategic capacity in addition to their ability to bring in new business opportunities.”
