Royal Caribbean Announces Success of 2010 All Access Expo

Nearly 10,000 travel agent partners from around the world registered for the May 13, 2010 All Access Expo to join Royal Caribbean International executives via live video sessions and acquire the latest sales resources and information. The virtual tradeshow also featured specialty booths, career development workshops, for which travel agents earned two CLIA credits for participating, and a number of unexpected giveaways and prizes, including staterooms aboard an Allure of the Seas’ pre-inaugural cruise, as well as the announcement of a special two-day WOW Sale, offering reduced deposits and up to $200 onboard credit per stateroom on all sailings after September 1, 2010.

“We thank everyone for joining us and we appreciate the feedback we received from all of our valued travel agents partners at the 2010 All Access Expo,” said Vicki Freed, senior vice president of Sales, Trade Support and Services, Royal Caribbean International. “It is particularly nice that we can bridge distances and share a fun, informative and rewarding program with all of our travel agent partners. This is one of the many ways in which we support travel agent as part of our commitment to help them sell more cruises, increase profits and grow their business.”

One of the highlights of the 2010 All Access Expo was the announcement of a special two-day WOW Sale during the Royal Talks Live Session with Vicki Freed and Ken Muskat, Royal Caribbean International’s vice president of Sales, who also hosted a special video edition of his hit online radio talk show, Why Not Talk Cruise with Ken Muskat. The special two-day WOW Sale offers vacationers special deals, onboard credits, and 50 percent reduced deposit for all Royal Caribbean cruise vacations sailing on or after September 1, 2010, for all new bookings made on Monday, May 18, and Tuesday, May 19, 2010. The offer is even applicable towards Royal Caribbean cruises on the two largest and most innovative cruise ships in the world, Oasis of the Seas and sister-ship Allure of the Seas, beginning service December 1, 2010. Also, guests who book their cruise during the two-day WOW Sale will receive a $50 onboard credit per stateroom on three- to six-night sailings, $100 for six- to nine-night sailings, and $200 for cruises longer than 10 nights.

Several new and exciting Royal Caribbean enhancements also were announced during the 2010 All Access Expo, including new features aboard Allure of Seas. Royal Caribbean’s newest ship will offer two new dining venues in the Boardwalk neighborhood, Rita’s Cantina which features Mexican fare and an outdoor specialty hot-dog counter, the Boardwalk Dog House. GUESS, one of the world’s most recognizable fashion brands, also will debut its first flagship accessory store at sea on Allure of the Seas. In addition, Allure of the Seas will feature a 3-D movie screen in the Amber Theater, a new exclusive onboard amenity for Royal Caribbean. Oasis of the Seas, Freedom of the Seas and Liberty of the Seas also will offer their own 3-D movie screen in spring 2010.

Also revealed during the 2010 All Access Expo were new enhancements planned for Freedom of the Seas and Liberty of the Seas. A family musical geared for children, such as the one playing in the Adventure Ocean Theater aboard Oasis of the Seas, also will debut in the main theaters of the two ships. Also coming to Freedom of the Seas and Liberty of the Seas will be the popular Cupcake Cupboard, the Royal Babies and Tots Nursery, oversized outdoor video screens and the wayfinding system.

It was also announced that three new exclusive Cozumel shore excursions are now exclusively available to guests of Oasis of the Seas, one of which kicks off a new series of “voluntourism” options developed in partnership with the Mexican chapter of the Red Cross, where guests can help give back to the local community.

The 2010 All Access Expo will be available on-demand at www.RoyalCaribbeanVirtualExpo.com for 90 days for travel agents to return and review.
