AmaWaterways Partners with Leslie Sbrocco

AmaWaterways has announced a partnership with wine expert Leslie Sbrocco for a new 13-episode series on American Public Television (APT).

“100 Days, Drinks, Dishes & Destinations” presents Sbrocco’s culinary adventures and includes four episodes filmed during the seven-night AmaWaterways’ Romantic Danube river cruise onboard the 156-guest AmaSonata.

“We are proud sponsors of Leslie’s first APT series as she shares AmaWaterways’ passion for discovering new destinations through food and beverages,” said Rudi Schreiner, president and co-founder of AmaWaterways. “Her enthusiasm for cultural exploration is contagious and we are eager to see her bring AmaWaterways’ gastronomic and cultural experiences to a broader television audience through these four episodes filmed along the Danube.”

The Romantic Danube takes guests from Vilshofen, Germany to Budapest, Hungary, visiting along the way other historic cities such as Vienna, Linz, Weissenkirchen and Bratislava and including tours of UNESCO-listed sites, special tastings at local wineries, and cultural experiences.

Sbrocco’s show includes sampling traditional delicacies, helping to prepare famed regional specialties, and participating in wine tastings at some of Europe’s most picturesque vineyards, experiences guests can also enjoy onboard an AmaWaterways sailing.

The first two episodes spotlight a culinary tour of Vienna with visits to traditional eateries and coffee houses, and a trip to the picturesque towns and hillside vineyards along the Danube River, exploring medieval fortresses and enjoying tastings at local vineyards and breweries.

“Partnering with AmaWaterways to bring the world of food, drinks, and culture to television viewers has been a wonderful experience. We both share a passion for experiencing the world through a culinary lens providing palate-pleasing adventures on-screen and onboard,” said Sbrocco.

The first two episodes of the show air this fall, with two more slated for release in spring 2020.
