Kitchen Classes Announced for Regent’s Seven Seas Splendor

The Seven Seas Splendor will debut 16 new culinary arts kitchen classes when she debuts next year, according to a statement released by Regent Seven Seas Cruises.

Each of the 16 classes has different themes and influences, ranging from regional Caribbean cuisine to healthy Greek dishes, Spanish tapas or French crêpes. There will even be a class for a plant-based diets and another exploring street food from around the world.

The two-hour classes were designed by chef Kathryn Kelly, Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ executive director of culinary enrichment. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America who spent 40 years exploring the world’s different cuisines, Kelly, along with other master instructors, will teach the classes.

“Our curriculum appeals to a broad range of tastes and caters to all experience levels, from beginner to seasoned chefs, delivered in the most advanced teaching kitchen on the seas,” said Kelly. “We teach the culinary techniques that chefs use every day, build a recipe and skills repertoire that can be easily transferred to guests’ home kitchens, explore cuisines, spices, recipes and ingredients from our ports of call, and most of all, have fun together sharing stories with people who enjoy cooking.”

The new classes will be expanded to the Seven Seas Explorer in April 2020.
