NYCEDC Announces New Director of Cruise Operations

New York City Economic Development Corporation today announced that Elizabeth Shearin has been named the new Director of Cruise Operations, where she will oversee the City’s NYCruise program, which includes the City’s cruise assets at both the Manhattan and Brooklyn Cruise Terminals, as well as Piers 92 and 94.

Shearin joins NYCEDC from Intercruises Shoreside & Port Services, where she was the Director of Port Agency for North America.  She has previously worked at Cruise Norfolk.

New York City’s cruise industry generated a total economic impact of $196.3 million in 2012, and the amount of NYCruise passengers has increased by 32 percent since 2009.
