Caribbean Rating System in the Works

The Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) is working with its 33-member community to create a Zagat-like rating system, according to Hugh Riley, secretary general.

“We are hell-bent on developing TVS,” said Riley at a lively panel discussion this week in New York. TVS being a Total Visitor Satisfaction index for a destination and its food, services and attractions.

“It will be a set of criteria on how a destination gets rated, and the ratings will come from people using the particular service,” added Riley.
