Celebrity Cruises has announced its line-up of the best of the best among its travel agent partners for 2009. Agencies receiving top honors have earned the title of Account of the Year, with one winner per region; one national account of the year, and one overall winner.

Celebrity Cruises named Vacations to Go of Houston, Texas as its Overall Partner of the Year. “Over the last year, the team at Vacations to Go has exemplified the value of a true travel agency-cruise line partnership,” said Dondra Ritzenthaler, senior vice president of sales, Celebrity Cruises. “Their hands-on approach to matching the right client with the right cruise has resulted in unwavering support for the Celebrity brand as well as a phenomenal revenue performance, particularly in the face of a tough economy, and we are delighted to recognize them for their success.”

With over 90% of Celebrity Cruises’ bookings coming from its travel agent partners, travel professionals continue to be a critical component of the line’s business. To that end, top performers were honored, among them America’s Vacation Center of San Diego, California, which netted Celebrity’s National Accounts Partner of the Year honor. “America’s Vacation Center went above and beyond this year,” Ritzenthaler said. “They are consistently at the top of their game, always committed to keeping up with everything that’s new at Celebrity, including our Solstice-class ships, Celebrity Life, our dining program and more, and it shows.”

Each agency receiving top honors receives an in-person presentation by a Celebrity sales team executive (Ritzenthaler; Vice President of Field Sales Keith Lane; or Vice President of National, Corporate, Incentive and Charter Sales Jeff Clarke) and their regional sales managers and directors. Each winner also receives a beautiful leaded crystal vase, a certificate of achievement and various marketing materials including customized logos that they can use on their websites and in print advertising.
