Holland America Line has named Nico Bleichrodt to the position of director of sales, the Netherlands. Bleichrodt is responsible for planning, organizing and directing sales programs and staff for the Rotterdam office and supervising the creation and management of Holland America Line’s Dutch market activities.
“Nico’s extensive experience in marketing and sales in the Netherlands brings a valuable perspective to this position,” said Richard D. Meadows, CTC, executive vice president marketing, sales and guest programs. “In previous positions, he has worked with and earned the respect of many of the same key tour operators and travel agencies that have strong relationships with Holland America Line. I look forward to his success in this new role and welcome him to the team in Rotterdam.”
Bleichrodt joins Holland America Line from Club Méditerranée Holland BV, where he has worked for 24 years. Since 1996 he has served as managing director, responsible for Club Med business development in the Netherlands, including social, financial and fiscal affairs. He brings more than 20 years of marketing and sales experience to his new role.
Bleichrodt studied tourism at AVR Algemene Vakschool voor het Reisbureaubedrijf and later completed advanced coursework in marketing and direct marketing with NIMA, a respected marketing study program in the Netherlands. He lives with his wife and two sons in the town of Noordwijk by the sea.
