Royal Viking Line has announced plans to to transfer the Royal Viking Star to Norwegian Caribbean Lines in November, 1988. The transfer will coincide with the December 1988 arrival of RVL's new 36,000-ton, 740-passenger ship under construction in Finland.
According to RVL, the Royal Viking Star will undergo extensive modification, including the addition of passenger cabins and the redesign of public rooms. The ship will also be renamed.
