With speed restrictions forcing deployment changes in the Saint Lawrence, the Queen Mary 2 will call in Sept-Iles on Oct. 2, 2017, in place of a previously scheduled call in Gaspe.
“The Port of Sept-Îles understands the exceptional challenges cruise lines are facing at the present time, and we unhesitatingly agreed to the last-minute request from our distinguished guest, whose first official visit to Sept-Îles had been announced for September 2018,” said a statement from the port.
The Queen Mary 2 will be on an eight-day/seven-night voyage that departs from Quebec City. The cruise starts on Sept. 29 with an overnight call in Quebec, followed by stops in Saguenay, Sept-Iles and Halifax. The cruise concludes in New York on Friday, Oct. 6.
