Compass Speakers and Entertainment Inc., a placement agency for clergy, guest lecturers, art instructors and Gentlemen Hosts® for many of the world's luxury and premium cruise vessels, has welcomed a new team member to their Fort Lauderdale office.  As the new outreach executive, Laura Flager will be responsible for sourcing new qualified destination and special interest enrichment candidates for the exclusive cruise lines’ onboard lecture programs.

"With the recent addition of new tonnage on the seven seas, her experience and knowledge will be a greatly valued and important asset to both our company and the cruise lines we represent," says Niklas Sardana III, president of Compass Speakers.

Laura is a third-generation San Francisco native, and has been a professional performer since the age of 15.  While attending UCLA as a business major, she was hired by Royal Viking Line as a production cast member and as Cruise and Hotel Operations staff. Upon her return shore-side, Laura continued her education at UC Berkeley and served as General Manager for the event-planning firm, Great Eventures, of San Francisco and Newport Beach, California.

Laura returned to the cruise industry as director of operations for Morag Productions Inc., known for its innovative productions. In 2005, she was tapped by Celebrity Cruises as liaison with Cirque du Soleil for the development and introduction of its entertainment program at sea.  For the past 5 years, while continuing to consult in the entertainment industry, Laura headed a non-profit organization created to support music education and the arts in a new Broward County public high school.
