LUXURY MARKET
Regent
Unrivaled Product
The Seven Seas Explorer
Regent Seven Seas Cruises started the year with its
most successful promotion ever, offering reduced deposits and
two-category upgrades on staterooms, according to Andrea
DeMarco, president, who took over the job at the end of 2022.
She said Regent was concentrating on having guests em-
brace key milestones in 2023 following the pandemic, ranging
from anniversaries to honeymoons. The company will also
focus more on talking about and promoting its culinary of-
ferings aboard and ashore, she said.
“We have amazing cuisine and experiences on our brand,
and we’ve never really showcased them,” she told Cruise
Industry News, noting that research done during the pandemic
showed that guests make food and wine a key criteria item
when making decisions on a vacation.
Grandeur
Regent grows from five to six ships later this year with
the addition of another 750 berths and the new Seven Seas
Grandeur, which will be delivered from Fincantieri late in
the year and christened in Miami in December.
“There is unrivaled space aboard,” DeMarco said. “And
Andrea DeMarco, president that is really important in this environment.”
