Carnival Cruise Lines, Royal Caribbean Cruises and Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) have all announced itinerary changes due to Hurricane Earl, now making its way through the Eastern Caribbean as a Category 3 storm. Royal Caribbean has tweaked itineraries on the Oasis, Enchantment and Freedom. The Enchantment will miss a transit call in St. Thomas, substitute in the Dominican Republic tomorrow (August 31) and call in Labadee on Wednesday (September 1). The Oasis will skip calls in St. Thomas and St. Maarten in favor of Costa Maya and Cozumel. Meanwhile, the Freedom will also skip St. Thomas and St. Maarten, scheduling in calls in CocoCay, Grand Cayman and Cozumel. Norwegian has made itinerary changes for the Epic. The ship visit Cozumel and Roatan, in place of St. Maarten and St. Thomas, and according to reports, has extended its scheduled call this Friday in Nassau. NCL said on its website that there may be a change on the Norwegian Dawn, which departed New York on August 29. Carnival Cruise Lines has altered the itinerary for the Dream, switching in a Western Caribbean cruise for the scheduled Eastern Caribbean itinerary. Carnival Pride will miss Grand Turk and Half Moon Cay and substitute in Port Canaveral, Nassau and Freeport. The Carnival Victory will miss St. Maarten and delay a call in St. Thomas. |
