Following a restructuring uniting Crystal Cruises’ Hotel and Marine Operations departments, Crystal’s senior vice president, operations, Thomas Mazloum, announces promotions to the luxury line’s operations management team. Cruise and Coast Guard veteran Greg MacGarva joins Crystal as vice president, marine operations, while Crystal’s long time director of land programs, John Stoll was promoted to vice president, land and port operations. Gregg MacGarva comes to Crystal with 12 years in the cruise industry, including marine operations, procurement and logistic tenures at Holland America Line and engineering and purchasing positions at Cruise West. Prior to the cruise industry, MacGarva served 22 years with the U.S. Coast Guard, including multiple deployments to Europe, the Caribbean, Arctic and Antarctica as chief engineer and director of engineering. In his new role with Crystal, he oversees the newly merged marine and land departments. John Stoll joined Crystal in 2003 as director of land programs after more than two decades in the cruise industry (including stints at Silversea, Princess and RCCL) and 10 years with Delta Air Lines. Since then, he’s spearheaded successful efforts to introduce numerous industry-first Crystal Adventures ashore, as well as thousands of thrilling, cultural, culinary and environmentally focused shoreside experiences. In his expanded role, he adds port operations to his department responsibilities. “We’re delighted to further strengthen the Crystal operations team with such industry experts as Greg MacGarva and John Stoll,” says Thomas Mazloum, senior vice president, operations. “Their vast experience adds insight and leadership to our worldwide operations ashore and at sea, and our continuing pursuit of offering our guests seamless and effortless vacation experience possible. “ Considered the pinnacle of the ultra-luxury cruise market worldwide, the Crystal Experience is distinguished by superb service, abundant space, unparalleled quality, an array of choices, as well as incomparable value. The line’s award-winning ships, Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity, travel the globe on cruises of seven to 100+ days. |
