DisneY cruise line
Disney is on an aggressive growth trek with
contemporary cruise ships. Could they disrupt
the luxury market?
eMeralD YacHt cruises
Emerald’s third yacht, the 128-guest Emerald
Kaia, sails in April 2026 with Mediterranean and
Seychelles itineraries. Two more yachts, Raiya
and Xara, are on order for 2027 and 2028. Own-
ership from Scenic.
exPlora
MSC’s luxury brand has two ships in service
with the Explora III, the fleet’s first LNG-powered
ship, debuting in summer 2026. Orders for three
more ships extend through 2028 when the com-
pany will have nearly 6,000 berths.
Four seasons
The Four Seasons I, a 95-suite ultra-luxury yacht,
debuts in March 2026 in the Mediterranean,
helmed by Captain Kate McCue. A second yacht
is on order for 2028.
HaPag-lloYD
Hapag-Lloyd falls under TUI’s joint venture
with Royal Caribbean. Five ships operate in the
luxury and luxury expedition segments and are
all now bilingual (German/English).
