Virgin Voyages to Include WiFi, Selling Cruises By Cabin Price

Scarlet Lady

Virgin Voyages is slowly releasing more details on its startup, which will see the Scarlet Lady start revenue service from Miami in April of 2020.

Virgin said it will open bookings for its inaugural season on February 14, and has released a sneak peak at its booking engine online. Reservations, however, are now open to guests who put down a pre-sale deposit.

Among the details, Virgin is including dining cover charges and unlimited WiFi in the ticket price of its adults-only cruise, in addition to all work out classes. Gratuities will also be included in the cruise fare.

The voyages are also being sold on price by stateroom, as opposed to by guest, although pricing does adjust per the number of occupants per room.

Guests will be able to choose from 20 dining options, of which some will be open 24 hours per day, Virgin said.

Sample five-night cruises, not including port taxes or additional fees, come to approximately $250 per person per day.

Deployment includes cruises to Cuba, Costa Maya and Puerto Plata. Additional port calls are expected to be added into each itinerary and announced this month.
