Victory Cruise Lines Shows Off Summer 2019 Program

Victory Cruise Lines has announced its first two itineraries since being bought by American Queen Steamboat Company as the sailings on the 202-guest Victory I and Victory II feature all five Great Lakes and the Canadian Maritimes, according to a press release.

Victory Cruise Lines will begin its upcoming season in May 2019 with a 10-day sailing on Victory I between Toronto and Chicago and a 10-day sailing on Victory II between Montreal and Detroit, the company said.

“Our goal with Victory Cruise Lines is to deliver a small ship experience with the same authenticity and passion for service that exists with our luxurious riverboat fleet,” said John Waggoner, chairman and CEO of American Queen Steamboat Company. “We look forward to bringing our award-winning experience to these northern waters and celebrating the beauty of this bountiful region.”

Among the options is a Great Lakes Grand Discovery on the Victory I; sailings will embark or disembark in Toronto with ports of call in Port Colborne, Niagara Falls; Cleveland, Ohio; Detroit, MI; Sault Saint Marie, MI; Little Current, Manitoulin Island (Ontario, Canada); and Mackinac Island, MI; concluding in Chicago, IL.

The Victory II will sail to French Canada and the Great Lakes, exploring the St. Lawrence River onto Lake Ontario and Lake Erie. Guests will cruise Thousand Islands corridor, tour Kingston’s preserved Gothic cathedrals and explore the region’s monuments. The ship will embark or disembark and overnight in Montreal, Quebec with ports of call in Quebec City, Quebec; Kingston, Ontario; Toronto, Ontario; Port Weller/Niagara Falls; Cleveland, Ohio and Detroit, MI.
