Norwegian Cruise Line will announce details of the last vessel in its Prima-class series on Tuesday, October 20, 2026.
In a teaser published on its social media profiles, the company said the new ship will be revealed at 9:15 a.m. eastern standard time.
Norwegian noted the newbuild will be the “grand finale” of the Prima class, noting that it was “beautifully imagined” with passengers in mind.
According to the latest update of Cruise Industry News’s global cruise ship orderbook, the sixth and final Prima-class ship will be delivered by the Fincantieri shipyard in 2028.
Similar to the 2027-built Norwegian Aura, the 170,000-ton ship is expected to carry 3,880 guests at double occupancy.
The Prima class currently includes the newest vessels in Norwegian Cruise Line’s fleet, having started with the Norwegian Prima in 2022.
With all vessels built in Italy by Fincantieri, the series also includes the 2023-built Norwegian Viva and the 2025-built Norwegian Aqua.
Earlier this year, the line also welcomed the Norwegian Luna, which kicked off its maiden season from PortMiami in late March.
Set to enter service in the Mediterranean in 2027, the next vessel in the series will be the Norwegian Aura.
Approximately ten percent larger than its predecessors, the 170,000-ton ship will become the largest in Norwegian Cruise Line’s fleet.
The ship is currently under construction at Fincantieri’s Marghera shipyard, with a delivery scheduled for the second quarter.
After offering itineraries in Europe and the Mediterranean, the Aura is set to reposition to PortMiami in late May.
As part of its inaugural season, the ship will offer a series of seven-night cruises to the Caribbean departing from its South Florida homeport.
In addition to the two final Prima-class vessels, Norwegian is also preparing a new ship design in partnership with Fincantieri.
At 227,000 tons, the first of the new vessels will debut in 2030 and will be among the largest in the world.
