Cunard announced it is now an official sponsor of War Paint, the new musical starring Broadway legends Patti LuPone and Christine Ebersole.

War Paint depicts the rivalry between Elizabeth Arden and Helena Rubinstein, cosmetic icons whose battle has been chronicled on page and onscreen, and now a musical retelling, according to a statement.

The musical draws inspiration from a book of the same title authored by Lindy Woodhead, as well as the documentary, “The Powder & The Glory”, by Ann Carol Grossman and Arnie Reisman.

The Broadway show also features: direction by Michael Greif; music by Scott Frankel; lyrics by Michael Koriel; and a book by Doug Wright, who won a Pulitzer and a Tony for “I Am My Own Wife.”

Guests aboard either the Cunard’s Princess Grill or Queens Grill are entitled to special seats to watch the musical at the Nederlander Theatre.
