New Disney Cruise Line President

Matt Ouimet has been named president of Disney Cruise Line (DCL) succeeding Arthur Rodney who has resigned effective August 31.

Ouimet has been onboard as senior operating officer since last August. He previously served as senior vice president of finance and business development for Walt Disney World.

Rodney joined DCL in 1994 and has been instrumental in developing the company and its ships. It’s Rodney second new-company launch; he also launched Crystal Cruises in 1988.

Rodney, who is a 29-year industry veteran, first joined the industry at Princess Cruises, where he rose to the rank of chairman. Rodney said he plans to explore other opportunities in international market cruises.
