Louis Majesty Winter Season Canceled?

Louis Group has apparently cancelled winter itineraries on the MajestyLouis Cruises has apparently canceled the winter 2011/2012 season for the Louis Majesty (former Norwegian Majesty), according to a person familiar with the matter.

Itineraries from November 7, 2011 through February 29, 2012, are said to be no longer, with the company offering alternatives to already-booked passengers.

The vessel was scheduled to be deployed in the Mediterranean with a variety of Eastern and Western itineraries.

A February 29, 2012 departure on a 12-night itinerary from Genoa in the Mediterranean, calling at Marseilles, Valletta, Alexandria, Port Said, Ashdod, Cyprus, Crete and Naples is the last scheduled winter itinerary for the 40,876-ton vessel.

The Majesty is scheduled to homeport on a variety of three-, four-, and five-night itineraries from Athens in 2012.
