Carnival Corporation could be about to place the biggest cruise ship order in history, 10 newbuilds.
According to Italian media reports, Carnival will order equally from both Fincantieri and Meyer Werft.
The ships are expected to be of considerable size and will include a much-rumored new class of megaships for Costa Crociere, in the 175,000-ton range.
Expect other vessels to be divided across various brands based on market demands, including potential new tonnage for China.
News could come by Friday and the order is expected to put new ships on Carnival’s orderbook through 2028.
