Thomson Majesty

Thomson Majesty

The Majesty is owned by Louis Group/Celestyal Cruises and chartered out or sailed as market demands ebb and flow. She was launched as the Royal Majesty for Majesty Cruise Line in 1992, before coming under the Norwegian umbrella, where she stayed for 12 years. She was sold by Norwegian to Star Cruises (Genting) in 2004 and then moved under Louis Group ownership in 2008.

In 1999 the ship was cut in half at a shipyard in Germany and stretched by 33.76 meters, allowing for some 300 more guests to cruise aboard the vessel.
