Radiance of the Seas

The first ship of the Radiance class, the Radiance of the Seas entered service in 2000. It was built by the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany.

The ship was designed in the late 90’s under the name “Vantage Project,” and designed to be an all-weather ship.

It was succeeded by three sister ships: Brilliance of the Seas, Serenade of the Seas and Jewel of the Seas. Radiance’s inaugural season included sailings in the Panama Canal, Alaska, Hawaii and Southern Caribbean.
