The first ship in the Quantum-class, the Quantum of the Seas was delivered to Royal Caribbean International on October 28, 2014. She was officially named on November 14 by her godmother Kristin Chenoweth.

The ship spent its inaugural season sailing to Caribbean from Cape Liberty in Bayonne, New Jersey.
