Island Princess

Island Princess

Sister to Coral Princess, the Island Princess debuted in June 2003. It became the first cruise ship of a major operator to be christened in Vancoucer, Canada, the following month.

The godparents are Jamie Salé and David Pelletier, both Canadian athletes. Both had won gold in the Salt Lake City Olympic Games one year before.

Panamax, the ship was specifically built for cruising in the Alaska (where it spent its inaugural season) and in the Panama Canal. It is the second ship to carry the Island Princess name.
