Caribbean Princess

Caribbean Princess

A slightly larger version of the original Grand-class ships, the Caribbean Princess entered service on April 3 2004.

Built in Italy by the Fincantieri shipyard, it was the ship that introduced the “Movies Under the Stars” concept, which later spread to the entire fleet. She was designed to cruise year-round in the Caribbean, but has been sailing in other regions lately.

She was officially named in Fort Lauderdale, in a dual ceremony that also included the wedding of its godmother. Jill Whelan, star of the Love Boat TV Series, got married onboard before christening the ship.
