Pride of America

Pride of America

Pride of America is the first large US-flagged ship built in nearly 50 years. With a hull built in the Litton-Ingalls shipyard, in Mississippi, she was fitted out in Germany, at the Lloyd Werft Shipyard.

The ship entered service in 2005 and has been cruising in Hawaii since then, taking advantage of its US flag.

Under the name Project America, she was originally designed by American Classic Voyages. This cruise line, however, filed for bankruptcy in 2001. On the same year, NCL assumed the projected, and finished the ship.
