Norwegian Jade

Norwegian Jade

Originally built as Pride of Hawaii, the Norwegian Jade was built in Germany by the Meyer Werft shipyard. It is part Norwegian Cruise Line’s Jewel-class.

When delivered, in 2006, the ship flew the American flag. Unlike foreign-flagged ships, it was able to sail exclusively in the Hawaiian Islands during weeklong itineraries.

Christened in Los Angeles by the senator Daniel Inouye, the Pride of Hawaii was renamed Norwegian Jade in 2008, then starting to cruise on varied itineraries around the world.
