Norwegian Gem

Built by the German shipyard Meyer Werft, the Norwegian Gem is in service for Norwegian Cruise Line since 2007.

She is the fourth ship in the Jewel-class. Her sisters are: Norwegian Jewel, Norwegian Jade and Norwegian Pearl.

The ship was named in New York, in 18 December 2007, with Cindy Cardella serving as the ship’s godmother. Cardella was a regular NCL passenger, chosen for the role after a video contest focused the cruise line’s passengers.
