MSC Musica

MSC Musica

The MSC Musica was the first ship completely designed for MSC Crociere. It was built in 2006, by the Chantiers de l’Atlantique (now STX France) shipyard, in St. Nazaire, France.

The ship was delivered to MSC in 19 June 2006, during an event held by the shipyard and attended by cruise executives, authorities and the French movie star Gerard Depardieu.

A few days later, the ship arrived in Venice for its christening. The godmother was Sophia Loren, who had previously christened the twins MSC Opera and MSC Lirica.
