MSC Lirica

First newbuild on MSC Cruises fleet, the MSC Lirica entered service in 2003. It was built in France, with a project based on the Mistral-class ships MSC Sinfonia and MSC Armonia.

Currently sailing in Asia, the ship has 66,000 gross tons and capacity for over 2,500 guests. Those numbers were increased at drydock in 2015, when the ship was renovated and enlarged.

The naming ceremony took place in Naples, in 12 April 2003. The Italian movie-actress Sophia Loren, served as the godmother.
