Zuiderdam

The Zuiderdam was built for Holland America Line at the Fincantieri shipyard, in Italy. It is the first Vista-class ship built for the Dutch-American brand.

At 81,769 tons and capacity for 2,272 guests at full occupancy, it was the biggest ship of the fleet when entered service in December 2002.

She was christened by the American journalist Joan Lunden, during a ceremony at Port Everglades, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
