Costa Luminosa

Costa Luminosa

Constructed in Italy, by the Fincantieri shipyard, the Costa Luminosa is a cruise ship operated by Costa Crociere.

The ship entered service in 2009, as the first vessel using a hybrid design that uses elements of the Vista-class and the Spirit-class of vessels. Her only sister ship is the 2010-built Costa Deliziosa.

On June 5, 2009, the Luminosa was officially named on a dual ceremony held in Genoa, Italy. The Costa Pacifica was also named during the event.
