Costa Diadema

Costa Diadema

The Costa Diadema is one of the newest and biggest vessels in the Costa Crociere fleet. At 132,500 tons, she entered service in November of 2014.

Built in Italy by the Fincantieri shipyard, it is part of Carnival’s Dream class of vessels. Carnival Dream, Carnival Magic and Carnival Breeze are sister-ships, although none is identical to Diadema.

The official naming ceremony was held in Genoa, Italy with Franca Grasso serving as the ship’s godmother. Grasso was chosen from among 12,000 members of CostaClub, the Italian cruise line loyalty program.
