Costa Atlantica

The first modern ship built for Costa Crociere, the Costa Atlantica was launched on November 11, 1999.

She was built by the Kværner Masa Yard of Finland, and entered service on July 17, 2000. The day before, Atlantica was formally named at a ceremony held on Venice’s Piazza de San Marco.

She is the first ship of the Spirit-class, that includes other five ships: Costa Mediterranea, Carnival Spirit, Carnival Miracle, Carnival Pride and Carnival Legend.
