AIDAmar

AIDAmar

Ordered in 2007, the AIDAmar debuted in 2012. Part of the AIDA Cruises fleet, it was built in Germany by the Meyer Werft shipyard.

The ship was named in Hamburg on in May 12, 2012. The ceremony was attended by three other AIDA ships, which sailed in formation into the port.

She is the sixth ship of the Sphinx class and has three identical sister ships: the AIDAblu, the AIDAsol and the AIDAstella. The other ships of this class are slightly smaller.
