AIDAbella

Ordered on July 12, 2005, the AIDAbella is the second ship in AIDA’s Sphinx-class of vessels. She is operated by AIDA Cruises and caters to the German-speaking market.

Built in Germany, by the Meyer Werft shipyard, she was entered service on April 23, 2008. On this same day, a christening ceremony took place on the port of Warnemünde. The model, singer and actress Eva Padberg served as the ship’s godmother.

The name AIDAbella was chosen in a public contest, held by AIDA online.
