The fourth of eight Fantasy-class cruise ships, the Carnival Fascination entered service for Carnival Cruise Line on October 1, 1994.

Originally named Fascination, the vessel had the ‘Carnival’ prefix added to its name in 2007.

Costing $315,000,000, she was officially named by Jeanne Farcus, wife of Joe Farcus, the interior designer behind most of the Carnival fleet.
