Cruise Industry News Becomes Media Partner of CCYIA Conference in Shanghai

The China Cruise and Yacht Industry Association (CCYIA), the leading non-profit organization for China’s cruise industry development, and Cruise Industry News today announced a partnership for the CCYIA’s upcoming conference and trade show, the 8th China Cruise Shipping and International Cruise Expo (CCS8) in Shanghai, Nov. 15-17, 2013.

Cruise Industry News, the leading industry business magazine, will become the international media partner to the eighth annual conference, which showcases China’s emerging cruise sector growth and is organized by the non-profit CCYIA.

The Shanghai event will bring together ports and suppliers from China along with the some of the world’s top cruise lines for a three day conference and trade event in China.

Wei Hang, Zheng, the Vice-Chairman and Chief Secretary (de-facto CEO) of CCYIA said in Beijing: “Along with the trade promotional effort by CCYIA, China’s cruise industry has come a long way since the maiden voyage from Costa out of Shanghai in 2006. While China must concentrate on its own domestic development, its cruise industry must be fully immersed internationally as well. In this regard, it is our extreme pleasure to partner with Cruise Industry News. Being the world’s leading cruise media with decades of industry involvement, we hope that the Chinese cruise players could benefit from the comprehensive industry information and coverage by Cruise Industry News.”

“We’re proud to lend our support to a prestigious industry event in a growing international market,” added Monty Mathisen, vice president and editor, Cruise Industry News. “The Chinese cruise industry has seen the addition of a local operator in HNA Cruises, and the arrival of various western lines to Chinese ports, which are all busy building infrastructure. It should be a very interesting three days in Shanghai.”

The eighth annual China Cruise and Yacht Industry Association conference and trade show takes place in Shanghai, Nov. 15-17, 2013. The conference includes various functions, highlighted by an international cruise expo but also an awards ceremony, various forums, golf tournament, cocktail parties, roundtable discussions, supplier meetings and much more.
