NCL Launches Annual Freestyle Resolution Sales Event

Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) is starting 2008 off with a bang with its biggest sale of the year, the Freestyle Resolution Sales Event, which launched on January 7. This highly anticipated annual event features the best deals on cruise destinations from NCL – the youngest and most distinctive fleet in the industry.  Consumers and travel agents alike can ring in the New Year with great savings and fun, as each week for the next seven weeks, NCL offers a new destination and special offer, along with a chance to win a free cruise.  This week, Alaska is the featured destination and the offers include an on-board credit up to $100 per stateroom and 10 percent off per stateroom in the Suites and Villas category.

Also, back by popular demand is NCL’s Freestyle Showdown online game that lets visitors challenge their friends to see who knows the most about NCL’s Freestyle Cruising fleet and then enter to win a free cruise. Last year, this game was incredibly popular with more than 30,000 people participating.

No time to play? Visitors can simply register each week to be eligible to win the cruise or send a friend information on the event and be entered to win the incredibly popular Wii™ video game system by Nintendo.

For travel partners, NCL’s New Year’s resolution is to show them the love during this sales event by giving away up to $75,000. Not only are agents eligible to win the free cruise each week, they can also sign up to win a weekly prize of $1,000 and can earn up to $500 in American Express gift cards by booking balcony category or above staterooms.

As an added bonus, NCL gave agents a head start with free, easy to use marketing tools, including customized web pages updated weekly with the new offers, banner ads, weekly e-mail updates, customizable flyers and postcards that they can forward to clients, and more.

“Our Freestyle Resolution Sales Event is a great time to take advantage of some amazing cruise deals,” said Scott Rogers, NCL’s senior vice president, sales and marketing. “Guests can enjoy Freestyle Cruising on our ships which are the youngest in the industry and offer up to 11 restaurants and 13 bars and lounges, the largest and most luxurious suite complexes, the only bowling alleys at sea and much more.”
