Cruise Norway Promoting Turnarounds

Cruise Norway is promoting roundtrip cruises from Norway and has posted a statement from the Norwegian customs authorities outlining the regulations.

In addition to limitations on alcohol and tobacco, as they apply to all tourists and Norwegians, certain rules apply to Norwegian territorial waters, except the Oslofjord, but it is partially up to the customs authorities in each district to apply the regulations as long as they follow certain parameters.

Thus, a cruise line turning around in a Norwegian port may apply to the regional customs authorities to have luggage transported directly from the airport to the ship and from the ship the airport.

Cruise Norway outlined a number of turnaround and itinerary options, including sailing roundtrip from Oslo to Copenhagen and the Baltic; from Oslo to Bergen and the British Isles; from Bergen to the Norwegian fjords and the British Isles; from Bergen via Stavanger to Copenhagen and St. Petersburg; from Trondheim to the fjords and Copenhagen and vice versa; from Trondheim to Northern Norway and Svalbard (Spitsbergen); from Tromso to the North Cape and Svalbard (Spitsbergen); and from the North Cape to Svalbard (Spitsbergen).
