American Queen Steamboat Company Completes Technology Upgrade

The American Queen Steamboat Company recently installed a new satellite ball instantly improving internet speeds throughout the vessel. Additionally, in-room entertainment options have been added with new television channels and a 24-hour movie channel.

“Staying connected to friends, family and business is a priority,” shares American Queen Steamboat Company President and COO Ted Sykes. “We recognize how important this is for our guests and that is why we made an investment in this upgrade.”

Remaining complimentary for guests onboard, the Wi-Fi upgrade is the latest in a series of upgrades to the 436-passenger riverboat, as she continues her second season on the Mississippi, Ohio and Tennessee rivers. During her winter layup this past January, many improvements were made to the American Queen including a an elegant marble and granite entryway to the J.M. White Dining Room, the addition of the Front Porch Café for an alternative dining option, mahogany plantation shutters to all stateroom French doors, works of art by American marine artist Michael Blaser and wallpaper and carpeting throughout the riverboat.
