North Atlantic Cruise Symposium Set For Reykjavik May 9 -10

The North Atlantic Cruise Symposium is set to take place in Reykjavik on May 9 to 10 (2013).  The organizing partners include Newfoundland & Labrador; Greenland; Reykjavik, Iceland; Torshavn, The Faroes; Orkney Islands and Western Norway.

The conference program focuses on the challenges and opportunities for the cruise industry in the North, present and in the future, according to Malik Milfeldt, senior consultant on tourism and cruise for Greenland.

He noted that the event is supported by NORA – the Nordic Council of Ministers and NATA – the North Atlantic Tourist Association. Among the confirmed speakers are Emilio R. Freeman of Azamara Club Cruises, Hans Rood, Hurtigruten, Robert Ashdown, CLIA Europe, Timothy Littley, Seabourn Cruise Line, Marc Miller, Royal Caribbean Cruises and Ulf Sonntag of the Institute of Tourism Research in Northern Europe.
