TUI Reveals Design Details for Mein Schiff 3

TUI Cruises has released more design details of Mein Schiff 3, currently under construction at STX in Turku.

The new ship will feature a two-deck, 167-square-meter glass wall at the stern, which will house the specialty restaurants Richards-Feines Essen and the Surf and Turf Steakhouse in addition to a new coffee lounge where “fully trained Baristas will serve a variety of international coffees and hand-made chocolates.”

The Diamond Bar, also house in the “glass diamond” offers guests a view of the night sky as they enjoy their wine or cocktail, according to TUI.

Mein Schiff will also have its own concert hall, designed for acoustics in cooperation with land-based opera houses. Thus, the German-cruise line promises to offer classical concerts, jazz, theater readings and movies with surround-sound with what it calls an “unforgettable sound experience.”

In addition a three-deck theater offers seating for nearly 1,000 passengers.

Other indoor features include a swimming pool and Jacuzzi.

Outdoor amenities include a 25-meter long swimming pool, a movie screen and a sports area for volleyball and basketball.

Two glass-floor platforms on Deck 14, 37 meters above the sea, allow passengers “to walk on water.”
