MV Voyager Comes to Santo Domingo

VoyagerStarting from 2012/2013 season with a schedule of sixteen days cruises in the Caribbean, the MV Voyager began sailing from Sansouci, Port of Santo Domingo.

This vessel is the second ship from Voyages of Discovery calling in Santo Domingo.

The MV Voyager made its first call at Sansouci, Puerto de Santo Domingo, through the Don Diego Terminal, on January 2 2013, bringing ashore around 500 visitors.

During this inaugural call, the Plaque and Key exchange was made between the ship’s captain and the Sans Soucí Ports Director, Neil Broomhall and Jaime Castillo. This ceremony was also attended by Javier Jimenez, representing Marítima Dominicana, Eddie Thomsom from Voyager, Sharon Mei and Patricia Reinoso, Executives of the Port of Santo Domingo.

Upon arrival of the MV Voyager, cruise guests participated on tours and also enjoyed many activities prepared by Sans Soucí Ports: tasting of local Dominican Products, traditional local dances, local arts and crafts among other amenities.
