Costa Pacifica Hits Pier in Marseilles

According to Econstrum.info, the Costa Pacifica made contact with a pier in Marseilles earlier today, leaving a 8-meter hole in the side of the ship, although well above the waterline.

Engineers were able to weld steel plates over the gash, with strong winds believed to have been the cause for the damage.

No passengers or crew were injured, and the ship is expected to sail as scheduled.
