Silversea Announces Appointment of New Senior Vice President of Fleet Operations

Ultra-luxury Silversea Cruises announced today the appointment of Rocco Auteri as its new senior vice president of fleet operations, overseeing all hotel, marine and technical operations.  He will begin his official duties effective immediately and will be based in the company’s Monaco office.

Silversea also announced that Erling Frydenberg, the company’s chief operations officer for more than four years, would transition from that role to work on a consulting assignment on various special projects for the company.

“We are very pleased that Rocco has become a key member of our management team,” commented Amerigo Perasso, president of Silversea.  “He has an excellent track record in the industry and his expertise will be of great value as we continue to grow our fleet. We look forward to Rocco’s contributions as our new senior vice president of fleet operations.  His broad operational experience and knowledge of the cruise industry will be instrumental as we move forward with several key projects and initiatives.”

Added Perasso, “At the same time, I wish to express our gratitude to Erling Frydenberg for his many important contributions during his tenure as chief of operations.”

Most recently Auteri was Costa Cruises’ director of operations for Asia.  Prior to that he managed their hotel operations division and also served for ten years as a shipboard hotel director for Costa
