Amadeus Cruises Enhances Efforts in North American Market

Amadeus by Lüftner Cruises today announced that it has entered into a partnership with Optriant – a new sales-centric representation and consultancy resource for the travel industry – to enhance its sales efforts in North America. Effective immediately, Optriant will pursue direct engagement with U.S. travel agents via sales and reservations services on behalf of the Austria-based luxury European cruise operator, exclusively focusing on the newest premium vessels in the Amadeus fleet, which include the MS Amadeus Silver that will begin operation in 2013 and the MS Amadeus Brilliant.

“We are very pleased that this partnership with Optriant will allow us to further establish our river cruise products, specifically our Amadeus brand, in the U.S. market,” said Dr. Wolfgang Lueftner, Founder and President of Lueftner Cruises. “This move facilitates greater accessibility of our niche itineraries along Europe’s most beautiful Dutch and Belgian waterways, which take travelers up and down the Rhine, Main, Moselle, Rhône, Saône, and Danube.

Privately owned and operated by the Lüftner family, Amadeus Cruises offers unique river cruising experiences. In addition to its commitment to high-quality standards of European hospitality, the company is the industry leader in providing regionally-driven gourmet cuisine, five-star modern furnishings, and authentic, educational, and environmentally-conscious programming.

Bookings are available now for travel beginning in March 2013.
